A late 19th century Persian tribal rug in a rare, almost square size (probably cut down from a larger carpet many years ago).
A charming and vibrant colour scheme with the quadrants containing geometric motifs in red, green, yellow, blue and cream set on a ground that ranges from a dark maroon to tan.
Thin pile, finely knotted.
Oversewing missing from edges and loss to ends but overall in good condition for its age.
Underlay recommended.
