An early 20th century Khamseh rug from south west Persia.
Pale blue field with triple pole medallion; all over pecking chickens; the spandrels with narrow diagonal stripes repeated in half medallions extending out of the field at the sides; pale blue floral main border and ivory floral guards.
Luscious fine wool fringes. Finely woven with soft handle.
This is a fine antique.
